Yoga Therapy is an ever-evolving and ancient yet entirely new modality. Research about the nature of trauma by people like Bessel Van Der Kolk, Stephen Porges, and Dan Siegel has changed our understanding of the relationship between mind and body. Yet this understanding is nothing new to the yogis who have passed the teachings of yoga down to us for the past 5000 years. As a yoga therapist, I am here to help those who find themselves living what I call "from the neck up." Living life swayed by the minds confusing and endless attraction and aversion to people places and things.
Presence, healing, and recovery lie in our body and our breath.
Finding presence opens us up to the next step, a new awareness, and self-compassion.

Embodied Trauma Healing
Touch Skills offered:
Craniosacral Therapy
Vagus Nerve Therapy
Touch skills can address trauma held in the body where talk therapy falls short. By accessing healing in this way the risk of re-traumatization is reduced.
The therapies function knowing that the body has an innate wisdom for survival that has brought life forward thus far. Client-practitioner co-regulation offers a new way of being in one's body. Self-regulation techniques are taught and inner resourcing creates space for what needs to be healed to move through.
Psychoeducation on the nature of healing trauma is offered when needed.
